Wishes in the Air

i feel you there beyond sight
where the spark drifts, ignites
i feel you where i won't breathe
in the earth, underneath,
in a hole in the ground I keep, water-filled
where heart strings lay spilled
waiting to be played by your stare
through to bone still in stitches
and lips that speak wishes
to air
